The Flatlanders, you ask? That elusive band that hardly ever tours, hardly ever records, but that everyone who knows and loves Texas Americana music CRAVES for… that band that features the trio…Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Joe Ely and Butch Hancock, who have been friends for almost 40 years, and members of that not-really-a-band, life-of-its-own musical entity known as The Flatlanders for nearly as long? Those Flatlanders? YES, THOSE FLATLANDERS are coming to the Central Coast to the Historic Fremont Theatre in downtown San Luis Obispo on October 5^th! After a 40 year wait, The Flatlanders find themselves coming to the Bay Area’s “Hardly Strictly” and are looking to play… FINALLY… in San Luis Obispo!
